Ministry Opens Bid For Post Contract Supervision

Bid opening for post contract supervision of design and construction of flyover at Mubi roundabout/ adjoining streets in Jimeta as well as the construction of Adamawa Superhighway from Welcome to Yola- Rumde Kila-AA Lawan junction was held at the conference hall of Ministry of works and energy Developmemt on Friday.

After official projection of submissions made by Fahyil Concerns Limited by the Head of Procurement Department, Mrs Rabi Musa Madani, The Commissioner Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar described the ongoing construction of flyover at former Mubi roundabout and the 20.8km Adamawa super Highway from Welcome to Yola to A.A Lawan junction as anoher milestone and legacy projects of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintri that needed professional attention as usual.

The Honourable Commissioner representated by his Permanent Secretary Engr. Suleiman Mohammed stated that the bid opening is to ensure transparent procurement requirements, adding that the consultant (Fahyil Concerns Limited) has supervised similar project in the past, hence his re-engagement to ensure continuity of trust.
He urged them to be diligence for quality and accuracy.

In thesame vien, The permanent Secretary advised the consultants to be involving younger engineers in the task of supervision to enable them to also aquired knowledge so as to secure the future of the profession.

In his remarks, the Chief Resident Engineer of Fahyil Concerns Limited, Engineer Toma James appreciated the Commissioner and promised that they will do their best to ensure standards are maintained.

The representative of Directorate of Public Procurement, Theophilus Ishaya described the bid opening as transparent, fair and urged the consultant not to compromise.

Also speaking, the state Chairman of Nigeria Society of Engineers, Engineer Aminu Yaro said the projects are meant to expand the state capital as well as ensure free flow of traffic.
