Adamawa: Police Arrest 15 For Shilla Gangsterism, Recover Items

The Adamawa State Police Command has in its continued war against criminal activities in the state against arrested fifteen persons suspected to be involved in Shilla gangsterism, terrorising the state capital.

In a press release Friday, issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, “the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), appreciates the good people of Adamawa State for their collaboration in the fight against armed robbery, house breaking and violent crimes by radical Shilla cult group.

“The CP equally commends officers and men of the Command, for commitment to duty and for creating an enabling environment.

“The sustained efforts are yielding results as another (15) Shilla Cult members were arrested during the just concluded Sallah Celebrations within Yola and Jimeta metropolitans. They are…

(8) Abdussalam Abdullahi, aged 20
(9) Salisu Umar, aged 19,
(10) Yahya Umaru, aged 25,
(11) Salahudeen Auwal, aged 18,
(12) Yusuf Ahmed, aged 20,
(13) Jamilu Sani, aged 18,
(14) Abraham Joel, aged 18, and
(15) Muhammad Auwal, aged  19,

“Interestingly, dangerous weapons, illicit drugs and cellphones, amongst others were recovered .
