The Adamawa State Police command has in unequivocal language condemned the heinous abduction of two EYN pastors, Pastor Ishaku D Chiwar and Reverend James Kwayam at Billa Malabu, in Fufoure local government of Adamawa State in the wee hours of Monday, December 30th, 2024.
A statement by the spokesman of Adamawa State Police command, SP Sulaiman Nguroje expressed the unwavering resolve of the police command to rescue the victims alive and to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to book.
The statement said, ‘The incident occurred at Billa Malabu, in Fufore local government area, where the kidnappers targeted the house of the victims situated at Hayin Gada, Billa village, Malabu district, Fufore local government area and kidnapped them.
“The kidnappers, who were armed with offensive weapons invaded the victim’s houses around 2:00 am and whisked them away.
“On the strength of that, the Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc deployed the command’s operational and manpower assets to give a hot chase to the kidnappers, rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
“The progressive efforts of the command will definitely bring the perpetrators and other persons involved to justice, emphasizing the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and degrade all forms of violent crimes in the state.
“The unprovoked kidnapping of religious leaders is unacceptable as they are critical stakeholders in policing service
“The command, while appealing for calm therefore, seeks the support and cooperation of the general public in its quest to protect lives and property.”
