The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has led a joint security team to Rigange, Tigno and Waduku villages in Lamurde Local Government Area to restore peace following a communal clash between the Chobo and Bachama communities.
Morris, accompanied by commanders of sister security agencies, conducted confidence-building patrols and engaged community members in peace talks aimed at ending hostilities and preventing further violence.
He urged residents to desist from acts capable of breaching public peace, warning that anyone found instigating violence would face the full weight of the law.
The commissioner assured that security agencies remained committed to ensuring law and order in the affected communities.
