The state government has been alerted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) of an impending flood disaster that may affect Madagali, Mubi North, Mubi South, Shelleng, Demsa, Numan, Song, and Yola North Local Government Areas.
The council is urging residents in flood-prone areas to relocate to safer places before September 16, 2024, as the government is prepared for any eventuality.
On behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, Governor Umaru Fintiri has expressed sympathy with Borno State over the recent flood disaster and prayed for God’s intervention to prevent its recurrence.
