Adamawa Senator Donates N3m To Victims Of Gombi New Market Fire Disaster

The Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District Senator Aminu Iya Abbas alongside Member Representating Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. James Barka have donated 3Million naira to victims of recent fire outbreak at Gombi New market in Adamawa State.

The National Assembly Lawmakers announced the donation during a sympathy visit to the victims of the inferno in Gombi Saturday.

Iya Abbas who addressed the victims and other stakeholders in the area while sympathizing with the traders said that the magnitude of the inferno would impact negatively on economic lives of the affected persons.

“we are so much worried and concerned about the unfortunate incident; this is the reason why we are personally here to see for ourselves for further action.

”We should also present the issue to other relevant agencies for urgent assistance to victims of the disaster,” he said.

Senator Abbas who commiserated with the affected traders, prayed God to prevent future occurrence and replace what they have lost in the inferno.

Responding, the leaders of the New Gombi Market who received the National Assembly Lawmakers on behalf of the victims commended the senator and the Reps member for the gesture and assured them that the money would be used judiciously for the purpose it was donated

Senator Iya Abbas alongside the Reps Barka had earlier paid a visit to the district head palace of Guyaku Alh Usman S Fada to sympathize with him him and the people of Gombi local government area, central zone and the state at large.
