Sen. Aminu Iya Abbas (PDP-Adamawa Central) on Wednesday unveiled plans for a free medical outreach and surgery for 2,000 people in each local government area of his constituency.
During a town hall meeting with stakeholders and party officials in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas (LGAs), Abbas reviewed his performance, highlighting achievements in governance, youth empowerment, innovation, agriculture, education, and constituency engagement.
As Chairman, Senate Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation, Abbas sponsored motions and bills, including:
1. National Eye Care Center in Jimeta
2. Federal Institute of Technology and Innovation in Yola
3. Motion to prevent flood-related losses in Jimeta
The free medical intervention, scheduled to commence next month, will start with Girei, Gombi, and Song LGAs, with plans to cover all LGAs, including Hong, Fufore, Yola South, and Yola North.
Abbas thanked stakeholders and constituents for their support, reaffirming his commitment to delivering campaign promises.
