The Adamawa State Police Command has taken swift action following reports of extortion by Alhaji Jaoji Isa, the State Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria. Alhaji Isa allegedly extorted Two Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N2,400,000) from a member of the public, prompting an investigation and subsequent arrest by the police.
The statement was released on Tuesday by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State.
In response to this misconduct, Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris Psc(+) has ordered a thorough investigation to address the issue of extortion and uphold the integrity of the force.
The CP stressed the importance of holding accountable those who betray public trust, as such actions not only damage the reputation of law enforcement but also undermine efforts to maintain law and order in the state.
