Adamawa State NG.Cares Empowers 5000 Entrepreneurs

5000 people have received N50, 000 each to start up a Nano Business under the Adamawa State NG.Cares results area three programme.

The event took place at the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency office in Yola.

Flaging off the disbursement, the Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Development, Mr Iliya James charged the beneficiarires to be job creators by engaging into meaningful ventures.

He lauded the efforts of Governor Umaru Fintiri for approving the release of the money to the beneficiaries.

Earlier in her welcome adress, the head of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, (PAWECA) Hajiya Aisha Bawa Bello thanked Governor Fintiri for his constant support to the Agency.

She called on the beneficiaries of the grant to make judicious use of the money.

Also speaking the State Coordinator of NG.Cares Unit, Mr kwaji Daguri said the intervention is aimed at cushioning the effect of the current hardships on citizens.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammed Aliyu thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for making them to be self-reliant and promised never to disappoint him.

There were goodwill messages from the programme coordinator of FADAMA, Dr Stephen Meshelia and Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Mrs Safrat Dungus .

Highlight of the event was presentation of checks to the beneficiaries.
