Adamawa State Receives Commendation from FIRS for Tax Compliance

Adamawa State has been commended by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for its outstanding tax compliance. The state’s Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, received a letter from FIRS acknowledging the state’s efforts in remitting taxes promptly.

Farauta expressed delight at the commendation, stating that it motivates the government to continue doing what is right for the people. She emphasized the importance of tax payment in driving development and urged citizens to fulfill their tax obligations.

Sambo Alan Yaska, Acting Director of Tax at FIRS, praised Adamawa State for being one of the best in tax remittance, highlighting the significance of tax payment in contributing to the nation’s growth and development.
