A cross-section of students in Adamawa state has continued to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Adamawa state Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for providing special Buses that will convey students to their various institutions of learning.
According to Muhammad B. Tukur, New Media aide to the Governor, the buses will convey students at a subsidised rate to cushion the hardships as a result of fuel subsidy removal which made transportation unaffordable to some students especially those studying at the tertiary institutions in the state.
In a letter written to the Governor on behalf of some of the students, Com. Umar Sanusi Madawaki, a student with Modibbo Adama University MAU Yola said “I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the recent initiative you have undertaken to provide cars for students transportation in Adamawa state.”
Com. Umar said the initiative will go a long way in alleviating the transportation challenges and difficulty bedevilling students in the state.
The students believe that Governor Fintiri will do more considering education as one of the key priorities of the incumbent administration in the state.
It could be recalled that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the purchase of school buses that will transport students at a subsidised rate to ease transportation for students across the state.
The buses had already arrived in the state capital and will soon start working.
