The Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Programme (ADAS-P) has formalized a collaboration with the State Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Industry to leverage the inherent potential in the region.
This partnership was solidified during a meeting held at the office of the Ministry’s Commissioner on Thursday in Yola.
In his opening statements, Dr. Garba, the Chairman of the Implementation Committee of ADAS-P, highlighted their commitment to fostering economic growth and development in Adamawa through Agribusiness, covering both livestock and crop value chains.
Dr. Garba emphasized the integral role of core ministries such as Agriculture, Livestock, Environment, and Commerce in the program, with a focus on comprehensive development.
Furthermore, Dr. Garba mentioned ADAS-P’s engagement in social investment programs across the state.
Adding to the discussion, Mallam Yunusa Ibrahim Gafai, the Chief Operating Officer of ADAS-P, highlighted that the 10-year program aims to empower smallholders through its Credit Guarantee Scheme, providing them with substantial opportunities for growth.
