ADHA Moves To Establish Teachers Service Commission, Health Supply management

Adamawa State House of Assembly has taken steps towards enacting 3 different bills aimed at establishing Teachers Service Commission, Water Supply and Sanitation Services as well as Health Supply Management Agency.

Already, the assembly presided by its Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley has referred all the bills to the House Committee on Rules, Business, and Ethics to schedule it for first reading at any convenient legislative day.

The 3 different bills were sponsored by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The Governor, in 3 different letters, requested the Hon. Members to legislate on the bills in the interest of the state.

The letters were received and read at the resumed plenary session by the Speaker who directed the House Committee to schedule the bills for first reading.

Fintiri led administration is seeking the establishment of Adamawa State Teachers Service Commission, and Adamawa State Water Supply and Sanitation Services Law 2024.

Another bill being considered by the assembly is aimed at establishing the Adamawa State Health Supply Management Agency Law 2024, to repeal the Adamawa State Essential Drug Programme Edict of 1996 and cover other pertinent issues related to health supply management in the state.
