Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, enacted a bill for a law to increase the retirement years of Judicial Officers, Law Officers and Legal Officers.
The passage of the bill followed a motion to that effect by the Majority Leader, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa) and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Umar Suleiman Alkali(Yola North) respectively.
If finally assented to by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the benefiting officers will retire from service after putting 40 as against 35 years or bow out of service at the age of 65 as against 60 yrs by age.
After the passage of the bill, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, directed the clerk to prepare a clean copy of the bill for Governor Fintiri’s assent.
