The Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday received three commissioner nominees from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for screening and confirmation.
The nominees are Sali Idris (Maiha LGA), Engr. Muhammed Suleiman (Mubi North LGA) and Chubado Mohammed (Jada LGA).
The Assembly also received the name of Iliya Gaji (Mubi North LGA) for screening and confirmation as a member of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission.
The list of nominees was contained in separate letters forwarded to the House by the governor and read during plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to appear before the Assembly alongside their curriculum vitae on March 9, 2026, for screening.
The development is part of ongoing efforts to fill key positions in the state executive council and strengthen institutional frameworks in Adamawa.
