The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has announced the recruitment of young Nigerians under the Presidential Health Fellows Programme recently approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a national broadcast, Prof. Pate said the programme is open to youths in all Local Government Areas (LGAs) across the country. Interested applicants are required to submit their forms via http://healthfellows.ng by January 25, 2025. The multi-stage screening process will be conducted at the state level, with evaluations in each LGA.
According to Prof. Pate, successful candidates will serve as accountability officers, supervising the construction of 8,800 new primary health facilities nationwide. They will also ensure financial transparency and operational efficiency at the facilities under their care.
The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure while providing employment for Nigerian youths.
