Bank of Agriculture Launches Farmers’ Account Registration Portal

The Bank of Agriculture (BOA) has announced the opening of its Farmers’ Account Registration Portal, a digital platform designed to give farmers across Nigeria direct access to agricultural loans, grants, and other government intervention programmes.

In a statement released on Sunday, the bank said the initiative aligns with its core mandate of supporting agricultural value chain activities and promoting financial inclusion among rural farmers and agripreneurs.

The BOA portal, accessible via https://internetbankingbusiness.bankofagriculture.com/signup/, allows individual farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses to open accounts seamlessly without visiting a physical branch.

According to the bank, the Farmers’ Account offers a wide range of benefits, including access to personal and corporate savings products, micro and commercial loans, as well as women and youth-focused credit facilities.

“BOA remains committed to empowering smallholder farmers, supporting agribusinesses, and driving prosperity in rural communities. Our new portal simplifies access to agricultural financing, ensuring that no farmer is left behind in Nigeria’s drive for food security,” the statement added.

Over the years, BOA has disbursed more than ₦250 billion in loans and supported over two million farmers nationwide. The institution continues to serve as a strategic partner to federal and state governments in implementing agriculture-focused programs for sustainable rural development.

Farmers interested in opening an account can visit the BOA website at https://boanig.com or contact the bank through its official customer care line, +234 704 020 2222.

The Bank of Agriculture, established over five decades ago, remains Nigeria’s leading agricultural finance institution with a mission to foster inclusive growth through accessible credit, capacity development, and advisory services.
