Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have resolved to put aside their differences and work together in unity to strengthen the party ahead of future political engagements.
The resolution was reached at the end of a reconciliation meeting held in Bauchi, chaired by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas, and co-chaired by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
A statement signed by Mr. Mamman Mohammed, Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Yobe State Governor, said the meeting was part of ongoing efforts to foster peace and cohesion within the party in the state.
Also in attendance was former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, alongside other prominent APC stakeholders from Bauchi State.
The meeting emphasized that the interest and supremacy of the party must take precedence over personal ambitions or differences.
“The stakeholders agreed to open a new chapter of unity and progress, stressing that all party members must respect and protect the collective interest of the APC,” the statement said.
It added that the reconciliation process is aimed at resolving internal disputes that have previously affected the party’s performance and public image in the state.
According to the stakeholders, unity within the party remains critical to its success, and all efforts must be directed towards ensuring inclusivity, loyalty, and discipline among members.
Further reconciliation meetings are expected to be held in the coming weeks to consolidate gains made and ensure sustained peace in the party.
