Bauchi Police Ban Covered Vehicle Plate Numbers, Tinted Glasses

The Bauchi State Police Command has issued a warning against the use of tinted glasses and covered number plates by unauthorized vehicles in the state.

According to the Command, the practice has become increasingly prevalent, posing a significant risk to public safety and order.

In a statement released on Saturday, Police Spokesman Ahmed Wakil emphasized that the use of tinted glasses and covering of number plates makes it difficult for security agencies to identify vehicles involved in criminal activities.

The Command has urged all unauthorized users to cease the practice immediately, warning that a crackdown on defaulters will commence soon. Wakil also appealed for public cooperation to ensure effective enforcement of the law.

The Bauchi State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to clamping down on offenders and maintaining a secure environment for all residents.
