Ahead of Eid el-Fitr Sallah celebrations, the Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Auwal Musa Mohammed, has ordered comprehensive security measures to be put in place to ensure the safety of residents before, during, and after the festivities.
In a statement released by SP Ahmed Wakili, the spokesperson of the command, it was revealed that a range of security strategies, including discreet intelligence gathering by plainclothes officers reporting to the central control room, have been deployed to bolster security across the state.
The Commissioner of Police has specifically instructed all area commanders, tactical commanders, and divisional police officers to maintain visible patrols across all identified black spots and flash points within their respective areas of responsibilities.
Furthermore, the command issued a stern warning to potential disruptors, emphasizing that it is too late to cause any disturbances.
They are urged to either join the peaceful procession, surrender to the police for rehabilitation, or face the necessary consequences for their actions.
