The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has announced that three more Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to its troops in Cameroon and Nigeria. This development marks a significant milestone in the ongoing Operation Lake Sanity II aimed at combating terrorism in the region.
In Cameroon’s Sector 1, two terrorist fighters, Rawagana Mustapha, 18, and Mustapha Ali, 20, surrendered to troops at Wulgo. Meanwhile, in Nigeria’s Sector 3, a terrorist fighter, Ibrahim Malam, 28, surrendered to the 403 Amphibious Brigade in Baga.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Malam had been a Boko Haram fighter for six years, residing in Kwaleram, south of Lake Chad. The MNJTF has urged other terrorists to follow suit, surrender, and lay down their arms to pave the way for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
