Borno, Adamawa Pilgrims to Pay ₦8.33m as NAHCON Reveals 2025 Hajj Fare

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that intending pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones will pay ₦8.33 million for the 2025 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Chairman of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, made this disclosure through a statement issued by the Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara, on Monday in Abuja.

According to Prof. Usman, the fare was finalized after receiving approval from the Office of the Vice President and conducting extensive consultations with key stakeholders to maintain affordability.

“The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa Zone’s intending pilgrims is ₦8.33 million,” Prof. Usman confirmed.

He further explained that pilgrims from other zones would pay slightly different rates: ₦8.46 million for those from the Northern Zone and ₦8.78 million for pilgrims from the Southern States.

“This modest effort on the fare was reached after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in this important decision-making process,” Prof. Usman stated.

The NAHCON chairman expressed gratitude to the presidency for its support, particularly Ameen Amshi, the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions.

Prof. Usman urged all intending pilgrims to comply with registration timelines and Saudi Arabia’s guidelines for the pilgrimage. He emphasized the importance of early payment and timely registration to avoid last-minute challenges.
