Borno Government Supports Baby Born with Four Hands and Four Legs

The Borno State Government has extended support to a newborn baby born with a rare condition of having four hands and four legs. Through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the government provided a financial contribution of 500,000 Naira to assist with the baby’s surgery.

Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, donated the funds, which were presented by Comrd. Lucy Dlama, Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Development. The baby is currently receiving medical care at the Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital expressed gratitude to the Borno State Government for their continuous support, emphasizing that this will make a significant difference in the child’s life and family.

The parents of the child also expressed deep gratitude to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and Hon. Zuwaira Gambo for their timely intervention, describing the act as “unprecedented kindness.”
