The Borno State GSM Association (BOSA GSM) on Sunday adopted a new constitution to guide its operations and protect the interests of members.
The event, held at Borno State Hotel in Maiduguri, was presided over by the Chairman of the association, Aliko Dala Ahmed.
Ahmed described the development as “a new dawn” for phone vendors, technicians, and general merchandise traders under the association’s umbrella.
He explained that the revised constitution would strengthen unity among members while ensuring their rights and responsibilities were clearly defined.
As part of the adoption, the chairman also introduced a Market Business Code of Conduct aimed at promoting discipline, integrity, and professionalism within the market.
“This code will help us operate with fairness and mutual respect, ensuring that our customers and community continue to see us as trustworthy partners,” Ahmed said.
He further urged members to participate actively in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration, stressing that registering and mobilising others to do the same was a civic duty.
“By doing this, we strengthen our voice and secure a better future for our state and our nation,” he added.
The chairman reiterated the association’s commitment to building not only thriving businesses but also a legacy of unity, responsibility, and progress.
