The Borno State Scholarship Board (BSSB) has announced the opening of its online portal for scholarship applications for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic sessions.
A statement from the board on Friday said the application process, which commenced on Monday, July 7, will close on Tuesday, August 14, 2025.
According to the board, the scholarship is open to Borno State indigenes currently pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in recognised Nigerian institutions.
Eligible applicants include first-year undergraduate students (Part I and Direct Entry Part II for universities), National Diploma (ND I) and Higher National Diploma (HND I) students in polytechnics, Colleges of Education (NCE I) students, and fresh Master’s students in their first year of study.
Applicants are required to upload their passport photograph with a red background, school admission letter, and registration receipt on the official BSSB portal at https://bssb.bo.gov.ng.
“The board encourages all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity by visiting the portal within the application period to submit their applications,” the statement read.
The board also urged students living with disabilities to apply, adding that special consideration would be given to such applicants.
It reiterated the commitment of the Borno State Government to supporting the educational aspirations of its indigenes through scholarship interventions.
