Borno Women Affairs Commissioner Appreciates Emir, Zulum, Others Over Recognition

The Borno State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, has expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, state leaders and the people of Kwaya Kusar for their support and recognition.

Gambo, in a statement issued on Tuesday, thanked the Emir of Biu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Mai Umar Mustapha Aliyu, the Village Head of Kwaya Kusar, Alhaji Sule Lawan Isa, and members of the traditional council for what she described as their fatherly guidance and encouragement.

She also commended Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum for his leadership and continuous support, as well as the Deputy Governor, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur, for his goodwill.

The commissioner acknowledged the First Lady of Borno State, Dr. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, for her prayers and commitment to the welfare of women and children, and the wife of the Deputy Governor, Hajiya Maimuna Umar Usman Kadafur, for her encouragement.

Gambo further appreciated her in-laws from Wuyo, led by Engr. M.S. Abdullahi of AIMAATS Engineering Nigeria Ltd., members of the State Executive Council, her family, friends and associates.

She also thanked supporters on social media and the people of Kwaya Kusar at home and in the diaspora for their trust and solidarity.

According to her, the recognition serves as a call to greater responsibility and renewed commitment to service.

She prayed for lasting peace, unity and prosperity in Borno State and Kwaya Kusar.
