Boya’s Bill To Establish FCE (Technical) Fufore Passes 2nd Reading

History is set to be made as the Federal Lawmaker Representing Fofure/Song Constituency area of Adamawa State, Hon (Barr) Aliyu Wakili Boya sponsored a bill that will establish a Federal College of Education (Technical) in Fofure.

The bill which passed a second reading was debated in the Floor of the House today during a plenary sitting Presided by Speaker Abbas Tajjudeen is seen as another record Boya is going to achieve for the interest of Adamawa State, especially his constituents.

Boya while reading the bill said it is an act to amend the federal colleges of Education Act, cap. F8, Law of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 to provide for establishment of federal college of Education (Technical) Fufore, Adamawa State.

Boya while buttressing his argument to other Lawmakers reiterated that Education has been described as the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values learning beliefs and habits, essential tools for any development therefore government should be seen to create enough access in obtaining education in Nigerian.

According to him the college when established it Will offer courses of study in both specialized courses of study to including teaching instructions and training in technology, applied science, arts, management, agriculture, sciences, humanity and social sciences.

“The purpose of the college is borne out of the fact that there is no federal college of education (Technical) in Adamawa State at the moment.

“The establishment of college of the federal college of education in Fofure is in the right direction to widen up the scope of access to education to the people of Fofure, Adamawa State as well as all Nigerians”. Boya Said
