
The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Gombe State Due Process Office to enhance digital procurement processes across Nigeria.
The Director-General of BPP, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, welcomed his Gombe State counterpart, Engr. Mohammed Dauda Abubakar, on a working visit to Abuja, where discussions centered on the integration of innovative digital solutions to improve procurement transparency and efficiency.
Abubakar showcased a newly developed digital platform used by Gombe State to track and share information on contract awards and project execution. He also introduced a mobile application and dashboard that facilitate real-time project monitoring and public access to procurement data.
He emphasized the need to leverage technology to correct inefficiencies in the procurement system, ensuring a transparent and accountable process in Gombe State.
In response, Dr. Adedokun commended Gombe State’s efforts in digital innovation, noting that similar initiatives could be adopted at the national level. He stressed the importance of advocacy visits to Gombe State leadership, including the Governor and House of Assembly, to align on procurement reforms.
He further highlighted BPP’s ongoing efforts to develop a national procurement portal that would allow public access to procurement activities nationwide.
Both agencies pledged to deepen collaboration and advance digital procurement frameworks to enhance accountability and efficiency in public procurement across Nigeria.
