Breaking: FG Shortlists Candidates for NSCDC, NIS, Fire Service CDCFIB CBT

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the list of candidates shortlisted for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in the ongoing recruitment into the nation’s paramilitary agencies.

This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Secretary to the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the recruitment exercise covers four agencies under the board — the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

According to the statement, applicants who submitted entries for any of the agencies are advised to visit the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm their shortlisting status.

“From Thursday, candidates are to check if they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment exercise, as well as their designated centres for the Computer-Based Test (CBT),” the statement said.

Jubril urged shortlisted candidates to take note of the venue, date, and time scheduled for the CBT, stressing that the process would be conducted strictly in line with established guidelines.

He further warned applicants to beware of fraudulent websites and individuals, emphasizing that the only approved recruitment portal remains https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Recalls that over 1.9 million Nigerians applied for various positions across the four paramilitary agencies before the application portal closed on August 11.

The recruitment exercise aims to fill vacancies within the nation’s paramilitary institutions as part of efforts to strengthen internal security, border management, fire safety, and correctional services.
