A bridge linking the Eastern part of the country to the Northeast subregion has collapsed, leaving commuters stranded.
The Namnnai bridge, located along Jalingo-Wukari in Taraba state, was cut off on Friday due to a heavy downpour, causing a flood that restricted vehicular movement.
Motorists traveling to Wukari, Abuja, Benue state, and the Eastern region will now have to divert through Takum and Jos.
The bridge, built many years ago, had cracks but had undergone repairs by the Federal government over the years.
