The TCN has already awarded contract for the reconstruction of the affected tower to ease the sufferings of the communities affected by the power blackout.
Meanwhile, Governor Buni has also directed the state Rural Electrification Board (REB), in conjunction with the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) to provide an alternative power supply channel by linking the affected communities to a 33 KVA line from Potiskum in the state, to Damaturu.
Shuaibu Abdullahi, Press Secretary to SSG, revealed in a statement on Saturday.
The Governor, who appealed that action on this alternative source of power supply be carried out with immediate effect pending the reconstruction of the vandalised 330 KVA tower, is poised to ensure that residents of the state did not incur losses or experience inconveniences as a result of the damage to the electricity facility.
While commending the patience of all affected communities, the Governor pledged the determination of the State Government towards ensuring speedy restoration of normalcy.
Buni expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful atmosphere in the state, saying that the people of Yobe had every reason to thank God for His prosperity.
The Governor urged members of the public to intensify prayers for peace, progress and prosperity of the State and the country at large.
