The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced internal and external vacancies for mid-management positions in the Federal Fire Service.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj.-Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd), the Board said it is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill available positions ranging from CONPASS 10 to CONPASS 14.
The advertised positions include Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14), Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13), Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12), Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11) and Assistant Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10).
According to the statement, interested applicants are required to submit their applications with scanned supporting documents through the Board’s email: info@cdcfib.gov.ng within one week of the publication.
The Board emphasized that candidates may apply for only one position, warning that multiple applications would lead to automatic disqualification.
It listed statutory requirements for eligibility, including employment with a federal, state or local government ministry, department or agency; minimum height of 1.65m for men and 1.60m for women; physical and mental fitness; and possession of identification from local government of origin.
Other requirements include evidence of confirmation of appointment, three years’ APER/PMS reports, certified true copy of record of service, medical fitness certificate from a government-recognized hospital, and absence of criminal or financial misconduct records. Paramilitary personnel are not eligible to apply.
The Board said applications must be submitted in PDF format via the dedicated email on or before Dec. 15, 2025.
It stressed that the application process is free.
