Concern Raised Over Alleged Duplication in Adamawa CSC Recruitment List

A call has been made for an immediate review of the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission’s recently released recruitment list following allegations of duplication involving a candidate applying for the position of Administrative Officer II.

According to a petition circulating among concerned applicants, a candidate with Form Number ADC-2025-401 was allegedly listed twice—at columns 138 and 229—on the published shortlist. The petitioners argue that this raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness in the recruitment exercise.

They insist the duplication cannot be dismissed as a clerical oversight, alleging it may be a deliberate act that could allow one individual to occupy two slots in a process meant to be competitive and merit‐based.

“This duplication appears deliberate. There is no convincing explanation that proves otherwise,” the petition stated, noting that such discrepancies cast doubt on the credibility of the entire recruitment exercise.

The complainants further contend that the apparent manipulation may have deprived another qualified candidate of the opportunity for employment, contradicting the Commission’s earlier assurances of a fair and transparent selection process.

They are calling on the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission to urgently investigate the anomaly and conduct a comprehensive review of the list to restore public trust and uphold the principles of equity.

As of the time of filing this report, the Commission has not issued an official response to the concerns raised.
