Condolence: Governor Inuwa Visits Late Gombe LG Chairman’s Family

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, earlier today, led a government delegation to offer condolences to the grieving family of the late Caretaker Chairman of Gombe Local Government Council, Aliyu Usman Haruna.

Aliyu Haruna passed away yesterday at the age of 58 at an Egyptian Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

At the residence of the deceased in Dawaki quarters, Governor Inuwa was received by the father of the late Chairman, Alhaji Usman Haruna along side Alhaji Bala Magaji ( Magajin Garin Gombe) and other family members.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya paid tribute to the late local council chairman, describing him as a reliable political ally, confidant, and a committed gentleman whose leadership and managerial expertise will be sorely missed.

He expressed his deep sorrow on the immense loss felt not only by the immediate family and Gombe LGA, but by the entirety of Gombe State.

“On behalf of the government and the people of Gombe State, I pray that Almighty Allah forgives the departed soul and grants him a place in Jannatul Firdausi,” the Governor conveyed during the visit.

Accompanying Governor Inuwa Yahaya were the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Head of Civil Service, Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, Commissioners, and other to government functionaries.

Special prayers were observed to honor the memory of the deceased.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya had earlier conveyed his condolences through an official statement following the passing of the Gombe State ALGON Chairman, acknowledging the significant contributions and the loss felt by the state due to his demise.
