
The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Eid-el-fitr celebration marking the end of the one month Ramadan fast.
Governor Buni said “it is with gratitude to Almighty Allah that we had a peaceful Ramadan fast across the state and pray to Almighty Allah to accept our acts of worship and prayers”.
He charged the people of the state to take the lessons of love, compassion and sacrifice of the last 29 days beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
“We should continue to be our brother’s keepers, spread love and make sacrifices to accommodate one another, and to give the less privileged a sense of belonging as exhibited in the month of Ramadan” he said.
Governor Buni assured the commitment of his administration to continue executing people oriented policies, programmes and projects to improve the lives of the people.
“This administration would continue to execute government business transparently and judiciously to uphold the excellent records we have achieved in due process, State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability, and Audit Efficacy” he said.
The Governor charged the people to always participate, support and take ownership of government programmes for sustainability and to have value for resources injected into the projects.
He also assured the execution of health, education, Infrastructural and other social development programmes to make life better for the people of the state.
Governor Buni appealed to the people to support and collaborate with security agencies in the state “you should always volunteer credible and timely information on suspicious persons, movements and objects in your areas for the security agencies to act proactively.
“We are all stakeholders with a responsibility to ensuring peace and security in the state” .
“l urge you to continue praying for the peace and prosperity of our dear state and country, and wish us all a very memorable Sallah celebration” Gov. Buni prayed.
