Maiduguri-based El-Kanemi Warriors FC on Tuesday signed 9 new players to boost their squad. The team, led by Coach Aliyu Zubairu, aims to add 13 players to prepare for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Confederation Cup competitions.
Coach Zubairu is pleased with the new players and the agreements reached. The 9 players who have joined the team so far were chosen based on the team’s specific needs for the upcoming challenges.
As Federation Cup Champions and Nigeria’s representatives in the Confederation Cup, El-Kanemi Warriors are gearing up for a strong performance in both competitions. With these new signings, the team is ready to face the challenges ahead.
The new signings are:
1. Rahman Olarewaju, central defender from Kwara United
2. Henry Ndedi, defensive midfielder from Sporting Lagos
3. Bilal Yakubu, right full-back from Doma United
4. Moyere Oluwa Suleiman, striker from Lobi Stars
5. Sunday Ajibola, striker from Lobi Stars
6. Agbo Ekoi, goalkeeper from Sporting Lagos
7. Clement Naantum, winger from Sporting Lagos
8. Muhammad Aminu, central midfielder from Kano Pillars
Five more invited players are expected to join the team shortly. All players have successfully completed their medicals, and the team is now well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
