Emir Confers Dikuma of Funakaye Title on Gov. Buni

Mai Mala Buni has been conferred with the traditional title of Dikuma of Funakaye by the Emir of Funakaye.

The Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed, confirmed the conferment in a statement on Tuesday in Damaturu.

Yakubu Muhammad Kwairanga IV conferred the title on the Yobe State governor at a ceremony held in the emirate.

The appointment letter, personally signed by the emir, stated that the conferment was based on merit and in recognition of Buni’s meritorious service to humanity.

The governor is a recipient of several traditional titles from within and outside Yobe State, cutting across all regions of the country.

Some of the titles earlier conferred on him include Ciroman Gujba, Walin Damaturu, Zannah Yaudima of Ngelzarma, Baraden Fika, Zannah Gadama of Machina, Sardaunan Fune, Matawalle of Gudi and Yeriman Pataskum.

The emir expressed confidence that the new Dikuma of Funakaye would continue to contribute to the development of the emirate and Yobe State at large.
