
The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Nigeria and West Africa, Mr. Gautier Mignot, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Monday at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House, Jalingo.
During the visit, Ambassador Mignot expressed his delight at engaging with Taraba, noting that it was the first state he had officially visited in his capacity as EU Ambassador. He highlighted the strong relationship between the EU and Taraba State, referencing past collaborations on sustainable development projects.
Mignot also reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to partnering with the Taraba State Government in key areas, particularly in creating opportunities for women’s empowerment and youth development.
Governor Kefas welcomed the ambassador and commended the EU’s ongoing support in various sectors, emphasizing the state’s readiness to strengthen collaboration for the benefit of its citizens.
The visit further solidifies the EU’s commitment to fostering development in Taraba, with discussions centered on potential projects aimed at economic growth and social inclusion.
