FG Delivers Anthrax Vaccines To Taraba State

The Taraba State government has on Monday received a significant delivery of anthrax vaccines from the federal government, aimed at combating the spread of anthrax in the state.

The vaccines, received by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Professor Nicholas Namessan Oliver, will be distributed to livestock farmers across the 16 local government councils and two special development areas.

The commissioner expressed gratitude to the federal government for the vaccines, emphasizing their importance in protecting the state’s livestock and ensuring the safety of its agricultural industry.

He highlighted the government’s ongoing commitment to animal health and food security, noting that similar vaccines were purchased and distributed to farmers last year.

Abubakar Sadiq, representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, stressed the importance of the vaccines in preventing the spread of anthrax, which poses a significant threat to livestock and the livelihoods of farmers who rely on them.
