The Federal Ministry of Finance has directed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to submit their outstanding liabilities for 2023, 2024, and 2025, warning that any unsubmitted liability will be considered non-existent.
In a circular signed by the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, on Thursday, MDAs were asked to collate and submit their total liabilities using the Excel template provided. Ministries are also expected to collate submissions from their respective agencies and parastatals.
The submissions are to be sent to the Permanent Secretary of the Cabinet Affairs Office, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the Office of the Minister of State for Finance by 4:00 pm on Friday, 23rd January 2026. Emails for submission include chinonyelum.ndidi@fmf.gov.ng and umar.shehu@osgf.gov.ng.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite stressed that “any liability not received within the deadline is considered non-existence,” underscoring the urgency of the exercise. For further inquiries, MDAs can contact 08033461360, 08030749372, or 09130200293.
The move forms part of ongoing government efforts to review and reconcile outstanding federal government liabilities and improve transparency in public financial management.
