The Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund (TISSF) has reopened its application portal for candidates who were unable to complete or submit their applications during the previous window.

The source clarified that applications for fresh submissions remain closed, noting that the portal will only be reopened for new applicants at a later date to be officially announced.

Meanwhile, the Bank of Industry (BOI), which is implementing the funding component of the programme, has reaffirmed that disbursement of approved funds is ongoing and conducted in batches.

According to the bank, all applicants who have been duly screened and approved under the scheme will receive their funds, urging beneficiaries to remain patient as the process continues.

The BOI also disclosed that greater consideration would be given to female applicants as part of efforts to promote inclusion and gender balance in access to the interest-free facility.

Officials said the initiative is designed to ensure that no one is left behind, stressing that the fund is not just a welfare scheme but an empowerment platform to enable staff contribute more effectively to institutional excellence and national development.

They added that details on the reopening of the portal for new applications would be communicated through official channels in due course.
