The Federal Government has restored federal tertiary institutions on the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF) loan scheme as the application portal resumes full operation.
The initiative, jointly managed by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), is designed to boost the welfare, financial stability, and professional growth of academic and non-teaching staff across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.

Under the scheme, each eligible staff member can access up to ₦10 million, subject to a ceiling of 33.3 per cent of their gross annual salary.
Federal tertiary institutions were earlier removed from the portal due to a technical glitch, but have now been fully restored, enabling eligible staff to submit applications without hitches.
The TISSF, government explained, was conceived to enhance the well-being of tertiary institution staff while promoting continuous professional development in the education sector.
