Fintiri announces 6km road, electricity projects for Hong

The Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri, has announced plans to construct six kilometres of road and extend electricity to communities in Hong Local Government Area.

Fintiri made the disclosure while addressing residents at Government Secondary School, Hong, during his ongoing statewide tour aimed at assessing project implementation and identifying critical needs.

He assured the people that the road project, alongside a new Science and Technology Secondary School in the area, would be completed and commissioned before the end of 2026.

The governor also revealed that his administration would revitalize the water supply system in Hong to improve access to potable water for residents.

According to him, the statewide tour is designed to evaluate the performance of his administration in project execution and to deploy additional resources where necessary.

Fintiri appreciated the continued support of the people of Hong and reiterated his commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that directly impact their welfare.

The Senator representing Adamawa Central in the National Assembly, Aminu Iya Abbas, commended the governor’s developmental strides, noting that Hong has witnessed increased government presence under the current administration.

Similarly, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley, and the Commissioner for Education, Umar Garba Pella, lauded the governor for siting key development projects in the area and pledged their continued support.

Fintiri later commissioned a newly constructed grain market in Hong, a project aimed at boosting commercial activities and enhancing economic growth in the locality.
