
Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the appointment of Chief Aminu Kardu Tsigiya as the Provost of the State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ganye.
This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
According to the statement, Tsigiya’s appointment followed the recommendation of the Governing Council of the College after he emerged top during the selection examination for the position.
The governor also approved the appointments of Mr. Yusuf Haman’Adama as Registrar and Mr. Mustapha Baba Nasir as Librarian of the College.
Wonosikou said the appointments take immediate effect.
While congratulating the new appointees, Fintiri urged them to lead with integrity, vision, and dedication to the ideals of excellence in agricultural education.
He charged the new Provost to work closely with the management team to elevate the institution’s academic standards and promote practical skills development among students.
The governor further encouraged the new management team to prioritize innovation, research, and community engagement, ensuring that the College remains a hub for agricultural advancement in Adamawa and beyond.
