Fintiri Commends Media Practitioners As CPS Host Journalist To Breakfast Meeting

Adamawa Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has appreciated the role of media practitioners in Adamawa State describing them as a catalyst on Nation building.

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, the Governor challenged the media in fair reporting with objectivity. He urged them to carry out their works with utmost professionalism.

The Governor highlighted achievements recorded by his administration and applauded the fact that the media has helped in publicizing these feats to the world maintaining also that his government runs an open door policy that is ready to entertain to the press at any given time.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou equally appreciated the role of the press in amplifying the voices of the populace through factual reportage.

Mr. Humwashi said having worked closely worked with pressmen in the state, the media practitioners have helped in promoting transparency and accountability in the affairs of government and regarded their works as  outstanding contributions to democracy .

Various speakers that included the National Vice Chairman of the NUJ (North) Mr. Zare Baba, State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Ishaku Donald Dedan, Correspondent Chapel Chairman, Padio Phineas and Isa Shelleng (ATV News Direction) all appreciated the close working relationship the media is enjoying with the fresh air government.
