Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has expressed concerns over the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) handling of state pilgrims during the recent Hajj operations.
He criticized NAHCON for allocating airlines to state contingents without consulting the states and for its handling of accommodation in the holy land.
Fintiri, who received the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage report from the State Amirul Hajj team and the management of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission on Thursday, commended the state Hajj team for their efforts but emphasized that governors would resist such arbitrary decisions by NAHCON in the future.
