
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa has distributed 23 brand new 2024 model GS8 4WD SUVs to judicial officers in the state as part of efforts to enhance service delivery in the judiciary.
Speaking during the brief handing-over ceremony held Thursday at the Government House in Yola, Governor Fintiri said the gesture is in line with his administration’s commitment to promoting judicial efficiency and effective dispensation of justice.
He said the vehicles were procured by the state government to support the judiciary in carrying out its constitutional responsibilities without logistical constraints.
Fintiri stressed that his administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of judicial officers to ensure that justice is not only done but seen to be done, especially for the ordinary citizens.
“Our administration is committed to strengthening the civil service system, and we remain focused on supporting performance and productivity across all arms of government,” the governor added.
In her remarks, the Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Hapsat Abdurrahman, who received the vehicle keys on behalf of the judiciary, expressed profound appreciation to the governor for his consistent support.
She described the intervention as timely and a testament to the governor’s understanding of the judiciary’s needs.
Justice Abdurrahman assured that the judiciary would reciprocate the gesture by upholding the rule of law and delivering justice without fear or favour.
