Fintiri Flags Off N50,000 Grant For 10,000 Business Owners In Adamawa

In fulfillment of his campaign promise, Governor Ahmadu Umaru  Fintiri has flagged off the disbursement of fifty thousand naira grant to ten thousand beneficiaries

The Governor at the event held at the Mahmud Ribadu square yola on Friday said the empowerment tagged Fintiri business wallet is a significant milestone in governments commitment to uplift the socio-economic status of the people and foster inclusive growth across all sectors of the economy.

Fintiri while addressing the ten thousand beneficiaries cut across MSMEs said as a government, it recognize that micro-businesses form the backbone of the local communities, driving innovation, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the overall prosperity of the people and the state.

The decision to allocate these cash grants according to him stems from its unwavering dedication to alleviating poverty and empowering entrepreneurs to thrive in a competitive marketplace.

By providing direct financial assistance to ten thousand micro-business owners, we aim to catalyze their growth, enhance their productivity, and enable them to scale-up their ventures to new heights.

Government he reiterated understands the challenges faced by micro-business owners, from limited access to capital to lack of resources and infrastructure as such these cash grants are not merely handouts but strategic investments in the future of Adamawa State.

He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely, invest in their businesses, and seize the opportunities that lie ahead encouraging them to see it as a catalyst for innovation, creativity, and enterprise development saying their success is integral to the prosperity of the state.

While commending the efforts of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency for their diligent work in implementing the program the Governor called on all stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to collaborate closely in supporting micro-business owners on their journey to success.

Commissioner for entrepreneurship development James Iliya said the Fintiri Business wallet has touched all nooks and crannies of the state appreciating him for actualizing his campaign promise which he noted will boost the economy of the state

Earlier Head of PAWECA Haj Aisha Baja Bello described the beneficiaries as future entrepreneurs of the state appreciating the Governor for the rare opportunity to serve humanity

She said the ten thousand beneficiaries were drawn from across the 226 wards of the state,highlighting achievements of the Governor and urging the beneficiaries to reciprocate by being prudent and productive

In his goodwill message speaker of the State Assembly Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley commended the foresight of the Governor in reaching out to the downtrodden urging him not to relent
