Fintiri Hands Over Nigerian-Made Patrol Vehicles to Boost Security in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has handed over newly acquired Nigerian-made operational patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state to strengthen their efforts in combating insecurity.

The ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Government House, Yola, was attended by Deputy Governor Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, top government officials, and heads of security agencies in the state.

Speaking during the event, Governor Fintiri commended the efforts of security personnel, noting that their commitment has positioned Adamawa as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. He said the new patrol vehicles are intended to serve as an impetus for continued vigilance, ensuring residents can sleep safely.

The governor acknowledged that maintaining peace requires dedication and investment, and reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting security agencies. He pledged further assistance to enable them perform their duties effectively.

Governor Fintiri also highlighted that the state’s peace and security have made Adamawa an attractive destination for investors, urging them to seize opportunities and invest in the state. He emphasized the cordial relationship between the government and security agencies, promising to maintain it to ensure sustained safety.

Brigade General Ogbonnaya Amechi Agwu, Adamawa State Brigade Commandant, spoke on behalf of security heads and expressed gratitude to the governor for matching words with action. He said the patrol vehicles would motivate frontline personnel, enhance operational efficiency, and help address pockets of insecurity in the state.

General Agwu added that the effective deployment of the vehicles would encourage personnel to remain alert and proactive in fighting crime.

The handover reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment to improving security infrastructure and supporting agencies in protecting lives and property across Adamawa.
