Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has urged content creators working with his administration to rededicate themselves to showcasing the achievements of the Fresh Air government, promising greater support to enhance their work.
Fintiri made the call during a strategic engagement with the team of content creators at the Government House, Yola, on Thursday.
The meeting, which focused on refining the administration’s media strategy, centred on storytelling, visibility, and deepening public engagement.
Addressing the group, the governor emphasised the growing importance of digital media in promoting transparency, governance accountability, and public trust.
“We must not only work but also be seen to be working,” Fintiri said. “Our visibility depends as much on effective communication as it does on execution. That is where you come in.”
The content creators, led by Ijahu Ijabani, thanked the governor for recognising their efforts and providing a platform to contribute to the state’s development narrative.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Ijabani pledged renewed commitment to creatively documenting and disseminating the administration’s projects, policies, and people-centred programmes.
The governor acknowledged the vital role content creators play in bridging the gap between government and citizens through visual storytelling, social media engagement, and grassroots coverage of government activities.
Their contributions, he noted, have reshaped the public perception of service delivery in Adamawa and brought governance closer to the people.
Many of the attendees described the meeting as energising and forward-looking, expressing hope for improved tools and resources to expand the reach of their work both within and outside the state.
The engagement reflects Governor Fintiri’s broader strategy to strengthen democratic participation and institutional trust through inclusive governance and innovative communication approaches.
